During 2013, operahouses all over the world will make it a point of honour to stage Wagner’s most important work DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN. The Ring is such a costly production that it usually has to be covered by several year’s budgets and none of the established opera companies in Denmark have been able to make the venture. With this in mind, the idea came to the organisers to celebrate the Wagner-year after all, only with a special version of The Ring.
